MKB Romexterra Bank posted losses worth RON 66.35 million for 2008

In 2008, MKB Romexterra Bank posted accounting losses worth RON 66.35 million amid a surge in provisions and the bank's shareholders approved at the end of March the increase in share capital by RON 24.85 million. The bank's initial plan mentioned EUR 6.4 million in net profit for 2008 but the bank's shareholders expect last year's loss to be recovered from the profit of the financial exercises which would follow.
